Hispanic Heritage Month Celebrations: Vibrant & Educational

Michelle H. Daino
Hispanic Heritage Month has been celebrated at the Mount in vibrant and educational ways. Spanish teacher, Dulce Mendez, shared the following:

Spanish 4 "Language & Culture" students learned about the culture of Hispanic countries by researching special holidays, traditions, customs, and typical dishes of the country of their choice. Each student also presented their research to the class.

Prior to this, in order to kick off this important celebration, the students from Spanish 3 Honors and Spanish 4 have researched about important Hispanic people that have contribute with their talents in sports, art, history, and the cultural field.

The students also made colorful flowers that represent the variety in culture and traditions that these countries have, to be displayed and showcase their biographies in the hallway.

Spanish I students worked on presentations about the Spanish-speaking countries while learning to use some grammar structures.
