About Us

Mount Saint Mary Academy is a Catholic, independent school that provides an exemplary college preparatory education for young women in grades 9 through 12. As a sponsored work of the Sisters of Mercy, the Mount is rooted in the values and traditions of the Venerable Catherine McAuley:

  • Commitment to academic excellence
  • Development of the whole person
  • Cultivation of individual gifts and talents
  • Dedication to service and the community
  • Instilling confidence, respect, and integrity

For 116 years, Mount Saint Mary Academy has inspired young women to become their best selves. In an ever-changing world, the Mount remains a place where innovation shapes the learning environment while timeless values serve as the foundation. The Mount is dedicated to the education of the entire person, with high academic standards, an emphasis on spiritual growth, and a multitude of extracurricular opportunities.

This approach helps young women develop into critical thinkers and leaders who are prepared for college and beyond. The Mount is a nurturing community in which personalized attention from teachers and counselors helps students reach their full potential.

The Mercy Core Values (Principled Leadership, Inspired by Faith, Educational Courage, Compelled by Mercy, and A Voice for Dignity and Respect) remain an essential component of each student's Mount experience. Graduates emerge thoughtful, accomplished, and prepared. Whether they are in the classroom, on the athletic field, or in service to the community, others know they must be Mount girls.
