In her remarks, Sister Lisa Gambacorto, RSM, Ed.S., Directress, said, “Those who have taken a pledge today have made a promise not only to promote scholarship, school spirit and positive regard for all students and faculty, but to take their responsibility to lead by example very seriously.”

Sister Lisa said that their vows of leadership encourage them to “do the right thing even when it may not be popular,” “to be more concerned about the common good than your own,” “to be inclusive and to ensure that others feel respected, including faculty, staff, and administration,” “to be general in your relationships and not part of a clique that alienates or keeps others out of your group of friends,” “to look out for your feel students who may seem isolated or sad,” and “to give your time, an ear to listen, a shoulder to lean on, and a hand to reach out when others need you…whether they are your friend or not.”
