Mount Directress Announces Commended Students

Sister Lisa D. Gambacorto, RSM, Ed.S., Directress at Mount Saint Mary Academy announced on September 26 the names of six students who were recognized as Commended Students in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program. Letters of Commendation from the school and National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), which conducts the program, were presented in the Parlor.

 

Sister Lisa and Jacqueline Muratore (Assistant Directress for Faculty, Curriculum, and Planning) congratulated the following students: Katherine Byrne '25, Megan Quraishi '25, Catherine Ritter '25, Wanshu Tang '25, Zoe Tseng '25, and Jenny Zhu '25. 

 

About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Although they will not continue in the 2025 competition for National Merit Scholarship Awards, Commended Students placed among the top 50,000 students who entered the 2025 competition by taking the 2023 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
