Young Women Graduating from the Mount Can Do Anything

Genuinely devoted to developing the whole person, the Mount is unique. I have seven children. My oldest daughter, Mary, graduated from the Mount in 2019 and my sixth child, Theresa, will graduate in 2024. Each flourished in different ways, depending on their individual talents.   

A Mount education is structured to help each student identify their strengths and pursue them - whether it be in sports, academics, service, student government, spirituality, music, or other interests. The offerings at the Mount are as varied as the student body, and the culture encourages each girl to grow into her fullest potential.  It is common to see a shy, unsure freshman transform into a confident, positive, take-charge senior. These young women not only go on to be highly successful in their field, but also achieve great personal goals that impact on our world.   

The Mercy Core Values, which are embodied in the school’s mission, promote human dignity and care for the mind, body, and spirit of the person. Mount graduates carry these lessons with them for life. The post-grad journeys of my daughter, Mary, and her classmates exemplify the diversity of their interests. They include teaching at the Mount, serving in the Peace Corps, corporate strategy at Google, marketing at Disney, research at the U.S. Federal Reserve, teaching third grade math, environmental engineering for the EPA, software engineering at a wellness startup, finance and banking at JPMorgan, nursing at NYU, music production at Warner Music, serving in the U.S. Army, sports partnerships with the New York Yankees, media during New York Fashion Week, law schools, and medical schools. 

When these young women graduate from Mount, they can do anything.
